Our Ministry

Who are we at the ESC that you should even listen?

Corinthians 4:1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

We want you to know God in truth through the Holy Spirit. We want you to be found worthy to escape the wrath of God that is soon to be poured out. We want you to have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. We want you to be free from religion, doubt, fear and the traditions of men. We do not want you to be double minded. We want to provide a safe place to learn what Life in the Spirit is like, to learn what the book of Acts church understood. We want you to be full of the Holy Spirit in Truth. We want to hear, “Well done My faithful servants, enter into My joy!”

We Believe

1.
Knowing is the difference! Believing is the difference!
  • John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

2. Being born again is only the beginning. Being born again is the “Power to become” sons and daughters. Being a “doer” of the word is the difference.
  • James 1:22 But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves
  • Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God
  • Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him

3.
Therefore, actually doing the things written is the difference...proof you have faith.
  • Mark 16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover

4.
The difference is: BEING CONVERTED FROM LIFE IN THE FLESH TO LIFE IN FAITH!
  • Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32But I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not: and when you are converted, strengthen your brethren. 33And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death

5.
The difference is: BE AS YOUR MASTER!
  • Matthew 10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. 5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

6. The difference is: DON'T THINK IT ROBBERY TO BE AS JESUS!
  • Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men

7. The difference is: KNOWING YOU ARE GOD’S FRIEND!
  • John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you

8. The difference is; RESTING FROM YOUR OWN WORKS!
  • Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his
  • John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 15:26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me: Proverbs 3:5Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding

9. Matthew 24 and 25 are about this time. We are in the midst of prophecy coming to past. The question is where will “Christians” find themselves? Being a “Christian” is not about those who can’t, won’t and don’t. Being found worthy to escape the wrath to come is about those who are.
  • Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom

What is the Holy Spirit saying to your church? Can you hear?
