Yesterday I was presented a challenge that was unusual. It was on Micheal Boldeas' blog. A person named Tim, who addressed Elm Street Chapel, said that 5 seals were already opened, and he is waiting on the 6th. Of course totally negating Michael's' dream about the first 4 seal horses just leaving the stable. No riders, no seals opened. Tim also stated that a "Witness of the Spirit" is unscriptural, and that it was a feeling. Of course I wondered what he was doing on Michael's' blog. I believe that he was openly condemning Michael and myself. My response, yet to be published as of this writing, was what I perceived the Spirit to say. Interesting thinking and hearing to responses to criticism, the flesh and the Spirit. The flesh speculates on intention and reasons for choice of words, and a clever reply. The Spirit merely bypasses all fleshly explanation and goes right to the core of the problem, sin, unbelief, doubt, fear or the worst, pride.
I believe Tim falls in the pride arena. Pride leaves no room to back down. Pride insists its logic or revelation is correct. Pride is haughty and stands against the things spiritually discerned. Showing superior intellect is a temptation to many. The lawyers tried to get Jesus to speak something that they could condemn Him with. It happened before Jesus, after Jesus, it happens today, it will happen until Jesus destroys the wicked. The father of pride is the devil. Pride goes before the fall. Those that profess something to be true but disregard truth of God leave no room for the Holy Spirit to instruct them, lead them to truth. Deaf and blind whose end is death.
If only they would humble themselves. If only they would be healed.
John 3 Edited for understanding today.
1There was a man named Nicodemus, who came to a Christian, and said, I know that you are a teacher. 3Christian answered, I'm telling you unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus replied, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Christian answered, Except a man be born of water (repentance of sin, to truth) and of the Spirit (previously dead unable to hear, now with belief, faith, alive and able to respond to God directly), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (a second life apart from the flesh). 7. Don't act surprised I said to you, You must be born again. 8The wind blows where it will, and you hear the sound of it, but can't tell where it comes from, or where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be? 10Christian answered and said to him, you are a smart guy, don't know these things? 11I 'm telling you, We (those who are born again) speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen (dreams, visions, prophecies, words of wisdom, words of knowledge); and you receive not our witness. 12If I have told you earthly things (explained times, wars and rumors of wars), and you didn't believe, how can you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things (things that are spiritually discerned)? 13 No man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 15 Who ever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. 17God didn't sent his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 19 But this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, because his deeds should be corrected. 21But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made openly displayed, that they are conducted in God.
Since the rod and the staff comfort, a few guidelines to live by.
Psalm 1
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Titus 3
9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
2 Corinthians 12:20
20For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
Zechariah 3:7
7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
Jude 1
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (the full truth that the Book of Acts church received)
4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (not outright but portions)
10But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. (these are those that say that they are Christians)
16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
2 Peter 2
1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
