The Up Side of Hate!

Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Habakkak 1: 4Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Psalm 45:7 Thou loves righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38This is the first and great commandment.39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 14: 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Proverbs 19:8 He that gets wisdom loves his own soul: he that keeps understanding shall find good.

Proverbs 29: 3Whoso loves wisdom rejoices his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spends his substance.

The up side of Hate, Hhmm? In this day of love and warm fuzzy concepts of Christianity, does hate have a place in our lives? It should if you are a person of understanding. Almost certainly we have our thoughts about likes and dislikes. But what are the lessons the Bible teaches about hate? If love and hate are separated as far as the east is from the west, so should by comparison, our emotions towards God and everything else. We often allow ourselves to fall into gray areas. They are the areas close to the center of our life. They are the areas that we find difficult to separate our hearts desires. An example would be, we love our children, we love our brothers and sisters in Christ, we love our home, but compared to the love we have for God, all else should be hated. In this area alone, we find the comfort of the Spirit of God, we find that the wisdom to be separated unto a holy and righteous God. Therein lies the crux of the matter!

Do you remember the early lessons you learned about the Bible? They were bigger than life. They flowed of the sincere milk of the word. But if your understanding stop there, you missed the weightier matters of judgment and truth. The Garden of Eden to be sure was a beautiful place. Adam and Eve were blessed to have such a close relationship to God their Creator. They didn't even realize though that they had clothes on, or not. They're covering was a robe of righteousness that they could not look upon the flesh. They didn't even realize they were naked, until they sinned before their loving Father. The weightier matter is, what happened to their covering? Is that the white garment that we will be robed in? We who have received the Holy Spirit, the Spirit that leads us into all truth, walk in the covering of the Holy Spirit. We have received the end of our faith. What of Noah, and all those cute little animals drawn into the ark? Noah was a preacher of righteousness, who ministered for a hundred years. What were the fruits of his preaching? He had none. He and his family were saved by his righteousness alone. The weightier matter is, that by his salvation, he condemned as the rest of the world. In these two examples alone, we find mighty truths that we live by today. Today the restoration to the righteousness that Adam and Eve walked in, walking and talking with God our Father, is the very issue of what salvation brings. What is it that we walk in, when we walk in the Spirit? What covering is it that you walk in? Are you seated in heavenly places.By preaching that the wrath of God is near at hand, make straight the way of the Lord, we are doing the work that Noah did. We are condemning all those who will not hear! Our words today, separate good and evil. Those who'll receive deliverance, and those who are condemned for eternity. The milk of the word, the meat of the word. Who can receive it? Who can, and who will, bear the mantle of truth.

The only unclear issue in my mind is this, who has ears to hear? Who is willing to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling? Who will be the ones wailing and gnashing their teeth? Who has believed the lies of their fathers? Who holds to the traditions of men? Who is weak and refuses to say I am a strong? Who can discern right from wrong? If we are right in our own eyes, who deceives themselves? Who preaches another Christ, another Jesus? Who appears to be an Angel light, but carries the odor of death? When Jesus returns, will he find you walking in faith? Who likes the old wine more than the new? Who wants the approval of men, more than the approval of God. Who believes the lie? Who hates evil and loves good?

2Samuel 1: 27How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
Proverbs 16: 25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

A Good Word Bro Dave, the following is the scripture the Lord laid on my heart as I was reading this word.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Amen, Dave.

We are to be preachers of righteousness as Noah was for a hundred years.

The scripture that comes to mind is the one that says that some have compassion making a different and some save by fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Jude 1:22-23
22And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

In these times, we must hate the garment spotted by the flesh and love to please God more than anything. Noah stood in faith for a hundred years, never seeing the fruit of his labor until the end when the flood came and he was saved by his righteousness. We must have wisdom and understanding that we may stand until the end, even as Noah did.

Fear God, hate evil, love the brethren.

God bless,
Ryan
