Encouragement before worship:
Exodus 15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
23And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
The Lord likens you to the branch, thrown into the waters of His word that have been turned bitter by heresy, and will not support life. You sweeten the water to those who will drink. The church is like Israel, those grumbling and complaining, wrong in spirit , wrong in attitude, that as soon as they have had refreshing, forget altogether the provision of sweet water in a desolate land, an unbelieving world. Yet you have a purpose, that none would be lost. Some will hear and stay at the sweet waters of life. Jesus is the power to sweeten, make clean, sustain life, we are the vessel or means.
The Word:
All Isaiah 41, but this was the key scripture, the balance was additional understanding.
Isaiah 41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
Who will not hearken to My word? Who does not have ears to hear? Those who delight in their own will, not Mine. Those whose' ears desire to hear pleasant words, that approve of their own lusts. Those who make way for pride. They do not hear or see the error of their ways. They do not consider what is to come and will shortly be upon them. They desire sweet water, but the bitterness of poison is their drink of choice. Death will surely follow, for what they eat and what they drink cannot preserve life. It is pleasant in their ears and mouth, but surely as I live, they will die. They cannot tell the right from the left, for they drink the water of lust of this life. They say, Lord, Lord, but in the day of salvation they said, give me sweet things to eat and pleasant things to drink that I may be at peace in my slumber. Though they knew the Day of Darkness approached.
They did not buy of Me milk and honey. They did not desire the bread of life. They preferred mixed wine and leaven bread. Whoa to you foolish who would look to your own path. The archer will find you. The sword will cut you asunder. Pestilence and famine will follow till they overtake, you will not escape.
Lift up your head this day. Repent of your foolishness. Give ear and be made whole. Ask that I may have mercy upon you and not judgment. For winter is upon you now. The day of My wrath will soon be upon all the earth. The blindness and deafness of pride and pleasure are upon My people. Those who call upon My name (the insincere) mock My word. Those who quote My word are without understanding. They build a bridge that will crumble under its' own weight, for I will not bear it up. Hear Me this day.
The day of (slippery walking) sliding back ends. No longer will the lie be a covering. Your sin will find you out. Live in fear, oh people of God, for the day of grace has been perverted and abhorred. The unclean has rebuffed the righteous. I will make clear in My house who is clean and who is unclean. None will escape.
Sin is apart from the Law of the Spirit. Mercy and grace was the covering, but the curse of the Law (of Moses) will be upon those who break the Law and repent not.
Comment; God is serious. The day that has been in His heart comes quickly. No more winking and nodding, no more wiggle room. Remember that when the journey with your lamp lit begins, it's to late to acquire the oil.

Dave,
A very strong, serious word indeed.
I pray that all who read this have ears to hear and that we would go before God asking Him to search our hearts and make us clean.
If God says that you are clean before Him, thank Him for removing the spots and wrinkles (what God has made clean let no man call unclean). If God reveals to us that there are things in our life that offend Him, woe unto us. Let us go before Him as the man pounding his chest, who would not look up to heaven, repenting of all the evil we have done.
God have mercy on us and give us wisdom and understanding. You alone have the words to eternal life.
Ryan
Amen Dave,
It just seems that every where I go, there is sin. Everywhere that you look, there is someone doing something for the wrong reasons. They don't love God like they should. Even in the churches, people love lies. They read only the scriptures that make them feel good. They love to love themselves. God is mad. He's been mad for a real long time. I praise him that he has been this patient for so long. His mercy endures forever, but there comes a time where he won't hold back.
God bless, Chad
