Attention

Listen to me my people. There are few in whom I can trust, few that I can call my own, yet you are these. I delight in you, to hear your words, to be amongst you. There are many that pervert my ways, that speak lightly of me, and those (people) cannot stand. They are not mine and I will not call them my own. When the day comes, I will have no part with them, for they will not repent, though they call upon my name.

Isaiah 42: 1
1Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

God delights greatly in those who walk after His Spirit in truth. They are as obedient children growing up in His very image. Yet, there are those that call themselves His, but do not do those things necessary to be a vessel unto honor. There is more to the scripture, for further reading, but the first verse was basically a summation. Although it speaks of Jesus, we too have the Spirit of Christ, therefore we are precious to God and a delight if we walk in all truth.

Amen Alex,
This word lands like a ton of bricks. Better to fall on Jesus now, admit your unbelief, accept the truth, be transformed by renewing your mind after you receive the Holy Spirit, than to have the judgment of God fall on you. Being ground to powder doesn't sound so good, wailing and gnashing teeth doesn't sound much better. Seems like making your calling and election sure now would be far less painful and make eternity far more enjoyable. Why resist God? He provided the way, the truth so we can have life.

Amen. Strait to the point. Just like Dave said you would think it be far easier just to obey, to be obedient than to constantly resist. Eternity with God seems far more enjoyable than eternal torment and suffering. The present sufferings that we endure are nothing to the Glory that shall be revealed in us if we hold fast and faint not. I pray even more that every man would stand and make his calling and election assured, working upon his own salvation with fear and trembling, never looking back but always going from glory to glory. Its gunna be a bad day for those who didn't prepare.

Your brutha,
Austin

Amen to the word God gave you Alex.

God is looking for those who He can call His own. Those who know His voice and who would never pervert truth. I pray that the Lord would find faith in us, and that our lives would be lived as acceptable and holy unto the Lord.

God bless,
Ryan
