I had a dream early this morning. Simple but poignant:
I was at some sort of hairdresser or barber shop. A woman and I were talking about God. As she spoke I saw her words in a line, like these words: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (The exact words didn't seem to be the important issue, it was the experience that mattered.) When she spoke, as I saw the words in line, there appeared to be a small explosion after the word, way. Like this, I am the way )X&X(, the truth,. The understanding of the word, way, lit up with explosive force. It then became: I am the way=the Christ, the anointing, the path, the direction to the Holy Spirit, the truth. My understanding was explosively lit up with understanding.
I then took my understanding, line by line and edited it to be: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way=the Christ, the anointing, the path, the direction to the Holy Spirit, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The words took on new, powerful meaning. They were not just words, they had life force, or power in them. I understood that I could no longer view that line the same any longer. I had choice, but wisdom dictated that I used that line to change my understanding or I would not walk in truth, I would not have life.

1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
The understanding, revelation or epiphany of the true meaning or depth of scripture, that we are built on, can and will change our lives if we allow it. The misunderstanding and deception is revealed to us by God, through the Holy Spirit. We must love truth more than our own thoughts and change. Mark 12:33 And to love him (God) with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength,. We are actually loving God by our willingness to adapt truth to our understanding.
2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
This is your opportunity to purchase oil without price. To acquire wisdom at the feet of the Holy Spirit. Brothers and sisters in Christ, if you are to have "life" in the times to come, prepare now. Reject the teachings of dead works of the flesh. Open yourself to the Holy Spirit and receive the the leading into all truth by the Holy Spirit. Change your doctrine to one that allows the way to be one of understanding through the Holy Spirit, in truth, not the way you learned by being a good little denominational clone.
Gleaning:
Does God consider the gossip and hearsay of a hair place the same as a church that does not have the Holy Spirit in truth? Does God consider a hair person with the Spirit above the best pastor, bishop or priest that does not have the Holy Spirit in truth? What does God think of people who receive understanding, and reject, for denominational congruity (fear or trying to please man).
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
God have mercy on the proud. The blind that lead the blind.

Amen, Dave.
In a time of many preaching another Christ, I thank God for this type of deeper understanding. When we know that God is the only one we serve and that Jesus and the Father live in us, what other way can we walk except following Him?
Also, good understanding regarding the hairdresser with the Spirit vs the best pastor, and the salon gossip vs church gossip. God is no respecter of persons. That is why we can never let ourselves become prideful in thinking that we are anything.
I pray, Lord, that you would cause us all to have understanding concerning the deeper things in You. Let those who have not given up everything in their lives cast down everything that would exalt itself against you and may they buy of you oil.
God be with us all. The days seem to be growing darker, and the enemy is trying to wear out the minds of the saints. Are we going to stand in patience and praise God that we are found worthy to be tempted? The battle is not ours, but the Lords.
