I had a word Thursday, 1/10/08. It came in the usual way.

A few of us (six) met at Church at about 6:30, we talked about the things of God until 7:30 or so, all with the usual zealousness that we experience when gathered together. We went into the chapel, turned on worship music. (Just so the uninitiated would know, we'd usually start worshiping close to 6:30, lately it seems that we start little later, because everybody has something to talk about. About nine o'clock, we turn off the worship music and share what the Lord has just spoken to us. Usually, we're there until about 10:15 to 10:40) It went in the usual way; at times, some would sing, some pray aloud, some would be worshiping in tongues, some will be looking up the Scripture, at times, some would be laying out before God, some would be laying down, sitting or kneeling in prayer. All things done decently and in order.

Commonly three or four will get a word from God, lately, praise God, most everyone has been getting something from God. To be sure, by the grace of God, we are growing in faith and demonstration. It seems that the Holy Spirit has been instructing us in the ways of righteousness. Our Lord has been encouraging us to draw closer, to be refined, to be separated and holy unto Him. Often we will have words of what is to come, or clarification of what is right or wrong in the body of Christ. Our Lord is more faithful than I can even imagine. He knows our every thought, our fears, our doubts, our needs. He is truly leading us in the way, on the path, as we worship God in spirit and in truth.

The word the Lord gave me that day was different from most every other word I have ever received. It sounded so wonderful that I could barely contain myself. In the past four years. I have only asked this question, maybe two or three times before. I asked, did you hear something unusual? It's interesting that as many times as the Lord has given me words, I am amazed of what I have not perceived. At times the words that the Lord gives us are so marvelous that it makes me feel small and inconsequential. This is my third attempt to try to describe what the Lord has for us. Let it suffice to say that greater things will we do, than I can even imagine. What the Lord has for us is so wonderful that makes me feel unworthy to consider it.

Therein lies the crux of the whole matter. Feeling unworthy! Do you think that Jesus knew everything that he would ever do? Not Jesus the only begotten son of God, Jesus the man, being made lower than the angels, in this flesh that we share. Do you think Paul ever considered what the third heaven was like, before he went there? Do you think John ever thought that he would be given a prophecy that would take place approximately 2000 years later, even though he had given hundreds maybe even thousands of prophecies before this time? Surely you must know that Peter truly felt unworthy after he denied Jesus three times. At that time, do you think he knew his shadow would heal people? Even though Jesus was given the spirit without measure, do you know he was tempted, in the flesh, like everyman. Do you think that these men (other than Jesus) were so special that they didn't know what it was like to feel unworthy?

Sometime ago the Lord gave me the understanding that when we see him, we will already be like him. We will not have our glorified bodies, but we would be like him in every other way. We are baptized with the same baptism He had. We have the seal of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We will do greater things, because Jesus went to the Father. Doubt and unbelief are our greatest enemies in fulfilling the will of God. Feeling unworthy is the door that leads to doubt and unbelief. If everyone who ever made a mistake in spirit quit trying we would be a sad lot. The Word of God instructs us to learn how to prophesy. We do it by being around others who can and do. We must learn what is flesh, and what is spirit. To be sure, we have and will make mistakes along the way, but that should not deter us from keeping our eye on the goal, perfection. If Paul had quit because he killed Christians, we wouldn't have most of the New Testament. If Peter had quit because he blew it, and denied Jesus, what would the church look like today? After they were converted, they grew by the will of God, through the instruction of the Holy Spirit. We have that same commission. Let every man be a liar, and God be true. What would He withhold from them, who walked up brightly before Him. God doesn't think it robbery to be just like him. He doesn't consider it blasphemy to be like God, if you're strong (the weak will be like David). Working out your own salvation in the light of being like God takes you to a whole new level than you have seen or generally considered.

I had a word Thursday, 1/10/08. It came in the usual way. The message is that; your usual way is not good enough! Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, again, into the image of the fullness of Christ. Greater things are you about to do, if you believe!

Brothers and sisters, and hold, on and let go! Eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, of the glories that God is prepared to do in these days ahead.

Amen, Dave.

This message speaks to me deeply because the Lord has been ministering this to me in a similar fashion (on a personal level).

I know there have always been times when we have made mistakes, and undoubtedly, the enemy is there to remind you of it day after day. But when we have repented of those things, true repentance, and ask God He says, "I have cast it into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be remembered against you again." Oh, what it would be like to never make another mistake again! It is possible...to them that believe. Who will let faith arise and believe God?

Go on church, to the greater things of God. When you feel unworthy, ask God, and if He says, "there is nothing, I do not condemn you" then believe the words of His mouth that it may be accounted unto you for righteousness. The very words He speaks allowing you to see clearly the path of righteousness that is set before you, that you have been standing on the whole time. True enough, we can take ourselves off of the path, but that should not, cannot, become an issue of fear in your/my life. We must let go, as Dave mentioned, and believe that Jesus is the only way/the Christ/the path to the Holy Spirit.

Only believe, people. Let go of yourself, let go of pride, let go of what you have been taught, and let God do in you what He said He would do if you believe. Let nothing keep you from the fullness of what He has for you. Let not these present trials and sufferings keep you from entering into the presence of God, by the Spirit of God as often as you go before Him. He is saying to us, "let not your heart be troubled, for I have made the way already."

God open our eyes to see who we truly are called to be in You.

Grace and peace in Christ,
Ryan
