What is Your Doctrine? 1/24/08

Everybody (who says that they are Christian) has a doctrine or belief. Every denomination, every minister within those denominations, every lay person, great and small, that has spread their beliefs, has a doctrine whether they think about it in those terms or not. Blatant errors are easy to spot, wolves in sheep’s clothing or false prophets and the like. Personal beliefs are based on perceived understandings from experience, through the carnal mind or by God. Any departure from God given truth is not true. It may be innocently spread, but none the less not true. Large denominational errors are so imbedded and inbreed that they can only be corrected by the judgment that begins in God's House, and will culminate with the return of Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Personal beliefs or doctrines are either true or range from minor confusion to salvation threatening. Remember it's not the beginning of the deception that will harm, it is the results from believing the deception. If the strength of the love of the truth within you allows you to believe small deceptions, a small angle of deflection, how far off will you be at the end of the error? Wisdom is proven of her children!

The Lord brought these scriptures to be shared. They are intended to cause the reader/hearer to understand where the doctrine of God comes from and why so many denominations are wrong. Pride is the greatest reason for the confusion within the all inclusive (as man sees it) body of Christ. In the understanding of working out your own salvation with fear and trembling, every man being right in his own mind and come out of her and be not a partaker of the wrath to come, the Lord would have us to examine ourselves, our doctrines, to see if we can be found worthy to escape.

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17If any man will do his will, he shall know of the (singular) doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 18He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. (What is His will? Are you doing His will? Do you love truth more than being right in the eyes others? Where did your doctrine come from? Is there more than one doctrine?)

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (the conenant, singular)

Hebrews 10: 15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (In your mind, the mind of Christ/Annointed)

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (Not written on Peters heart yet as the Holy Spirit was not given.)

John 16:12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Comment:
When you think about God being the author of our faith, did He bring confusion into His body? God forbid! He is not the author of confusion. Why then are there hundreds of variations of teachings? Man! Man being lead under his own lusts. Lust for power, lust for respect, lust to elevate himself above other men, above all that is true. The above verses clearly point out that it is, or should be, God who writes on our hearts. It is the Holy Spirit would lead into and confirms all truth. No matter how many times someone tells you to remain in the denominations doctrines if is not from God it is you who will suffer the loss. God is not mocked, what we so we will reap. If we so unrighteousness, no matter what the reason, can God bless it? If we remain in error will God bless it? If we do not come out and be separate will we partake of the wrath intended for the wicked?

Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Ephesians 5:26 That he (Jesus) might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (see above) 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Amen Dave:)
Are our doctrines in accordance to that of the same Spirit in Jesus Christ?

Timothy 4:16
16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Timothy 6
3If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing.

Titus 2

1You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
