Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field (life): 32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
The just will live by faith!
The just, will live by faith!
The just, will live, by faith!
The just will live, by faith!
I am not going to debate anyone, nothing good ever comes out of it. When we hear truth we all should be willing to say, Amen, and change or add to what we previously believed.
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou (we) mightest be justified in thy (God's) sayings (what He has written on our heart, in our mind, His doctrine.), and mightest overcome when thou art judged. (That we will be the just.)
Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37For by thy (our) words thou shalt be justified, and by thy (our) words thou shalt be condemned.
Salvation comes by the drawing of God. We believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, no man can say that apart from God revealing that to us. That is far from the end of what is required of us though. We must do the will of God. Salvation only empowers us to become the sons and daughters of God. Those who do His will take subsequent steps. Baptism in water, a submission of our will to God's. It is also a rehersal for the next submission, it doesn't necessarily happen in this order though. The baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is our belief and acceptence that God can and does speak to us that allows us to enter in. It is this in that the promise of the Father is fulfilled. Unbelief will stop us right here. The Holy Spirit is in the way and the truth that Jesus spoke of, the restoration to the Father. Those who want to defend traditions of men are dead already. Those who think themselves highly educated and inerring are on dangerous ground. Those who think the the Holy Spirit comes to them only are deceived. Those who think that they have the Holy Spirit apart from the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the proof of speaking in tongues, are trying to enter in apart from the way and truth. If you say you are just apart from truth, you lie.
Living for God has many aspects. Living in truth. Living a life of submission to the will of God. Living your life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit, the place where God writes His words on our hearts and in our minds, by the Holy Spirit. His words that reveal His doctrine to us personally.
Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Seems plain enough to understand. If you don't have stammering lips and other tongues He is not speaking to you. If you haven't aquired step one, the Holy Spirit, step two, enter rest, is not possible. Even though men speak of step one, many resist, many pull back, do not believe. Those who teach others to do likewise will be judged as blind leading the blind.
1 Corinthians 14:22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Hebrews 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
The will of God by the Holy Spirit is what we do (rest), and will live in. The Spirit is the one by who we shall have life by. By the Holy Spirit we will live in the time to come if we are worthy, if we believe.
Hebrews 11:1 Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If our faith substance is anything other than truth which came to us by the Holy Spirit our doctrine is not from God. Our understanding is not from God. What we believe is not from God. What we envision, the things to come, are not from God.
Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Wellll....Amen to that brother!!!! If only the so called Spirit filled pastors out there would preach that, I have been in so called Spirit filled churches that are afraid to preach it. There are even leaders of so called Penticostal denominations, Bishops none the less who are not Spirit filled do not speak in tongues do not think that is for every one who is Spirit filled, welll..if there's no oil in the lamp honey it ain't gonna light, and you ain't gonna be able to see your way in the darkness ahead, and no one is gonna be able to see that light shine through you in the days ahead...Amen..you can only go on your own steam so far be for you run yourself into the ground brother..Amen
If any man receives anything of the Lord before the Baptism of the Spirit, it will be to lead him/her towards that baptism.
I was stirred, who will say Lord, Lord and the Lord will not know them? Could it be those who say in their hearts that they have went far enough and do not seek the infilling of the Spirit? Those who were called but not chosen because the power that they thought they had was in their flesh alone.
It is not by might but by the Spirit of God. We are but vessels. Give in to Him, humble yourself, and seek the free gift before the offer is taken away.

Amen Dave.
I love the simplicity of God. I love the fact that God can give us what religion, traditions and doctrines of men could not....liberty by His Spirit.
As you said, there is no other way. So many people like to argue regarding these things. There is no place for that. It is written that after the second or third admonition to depart from them for they are a heretic.
My (our) prayer is that as many as hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord, would believe and enter in to all that Jesus Himself said to when He was here. That all who hear would see that He came truly to restore fellowship with the Father and that all would understand why Jesus said He had to go that He could send the Comforter, who would lead us into all truth.
The Lord has made the way. All people must do to acquire truth is to stop living by the words of men and start living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. If they don't do this then they are fulfilling the scripture, "without faith there is no pleasing God." It takes faith to hear from God and live your life accordingly. It's not by works or the laws of men, but by faith alone.
If anyone thinks that they will be okay both now and in the times to come without believing God, God have mercy on them because they are believing a lie.
With love in Him,
Ryan
