Staying There

One day at work, a few weeks ago, I was considering how to better stay in the Spirit and the Peace of God. After discussing it with a brother, I was stirred to just ask God (strange how sometimes we ask others before Him). I asked and immediately heard Philippians 4.

Philippians 4: 4-8

4Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Mainly it had been verses 6-8 but upon copying to paste in here, but 4 also was important considering a message from yesterday at Church. The idea of Rejoicing in the Lord, Praising and Worshipping Him, and letting Him be our joy is very important. Because God inhabits the praises of His people, would you not be at Peace in rejoicing before Him? On to 5, why do we rejoice? We rejoice when we have the faith to believe that the Lord is at hand, or within reach of our grasp at all times. Finally we have an explanation of how to stay in the Peace in verses 6,7. Verse 8 is basically a definition of keeping your mind stayed on God and what is Holy in Him.

I was waiting on God to post this because I felt like there was more to receive about it. I just kept coming back to it, but upon request and Ryan's last word, I thought it would be appropriate now. I encourage all to hear these things for yourselves because I am certain this is what God is teaching those who love Him in these days. We must get to a place where we would no longer fear, having a perfect love, that Peace would be always in our hearts.

Amen, Alex.

Being stayed in perfect peace will make all the difference in the times to come, when men's hearts will fail them for fear of what's to come.

The peace that God gives, passing all understanding, cannot be acquired in any way except in the way that God has laid out. Only those whose minds are stayed on the Lord and trust Him will be able to make the peace of God their covering. Period.

God bless,
Ryan

In my hardest times, I listen to Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's geatest cd's "Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir Live...This Is Your House", and their other cd from 2years ago "I'm Amazed"...their ministry in music on those two cd's is amazing, and as I listen and as I join them in praise unto the Lord, He lifts my burdens and anoints me with the oil of comfort and gladness, and encouragement. Hillsongs cd's "Shout To The Lord 2" and "For All You've Done" are the other 2 that I treasure in my hardest times, because The Word of the Lord is true, the Joy of the Lord is our Strength, and God does inhabit the the praises of His people, so we do need to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, and lift our voices in Praise to the Lord even in the hard times, in fact that is the time we need to Praise Him the most, we need to be greatful and thankful in all things...Love you all ..Helen B
