Finding the Highway of Holiness, a Dream

Job 28:7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen: 8The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it. 9He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots. 10He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing. 11He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light. 12But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

Luke 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Isiaih 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. 12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

A Dream 4/17/08

This dream was over several hours. I awoke three times during the night and this dream reoccurred each time and progressed. In the first part I was walking on a trial in the woods. It was cool with sunlight coming through the trees. As I walked I came upon what looked like a small hill and stepped to the top. Once on top I looked both ways on the hill. It went on as far as I could see, straight as an arrow, perfectly level, with drop offs on both sides. It reminded me of an old rail road track bed, but it was to narrow. The path appeared to be hidden from view due to the over growth of the forest, but no trees grew on the path.

The second part I was standing on the path looking down. I noticed part of a stone walk way centered on the pathway. Most of the old walking stones were gone, removed very deliberately, leaving a torn, rough pathway that would be difficult not to stumble on while walking. Then I saw on the path what looked like debris at first. I then realized that the debris was someones attempt to restore the path, only rather than the original stone walkway they used wood. The pieces of wood were irregular in shape and size. While looking at the placement of the wood it became apparent why the stepping stones and wood pieces were there, the ground itself was soft and spongy. The stones or the wood seemed to support weight much better than the bare ground alone.

The third part started with my consideration of building a path of such soft material. I then realized that it was due to the lack of use that overgrowth had built a spongy layer, though the steps themselves were solid. I wondered why anyone would have removed the foot pads that formed the path and left it so course. I next thought about who would have attempted to rebuild the path with wood, and why. I picked up a couple pieces of the wood to have a closer look. It appeared that the wood was fresh with no decay. I then held one piece and noticed that it opened up containing a CD. After closing the case I replaced it where it had been. It was getting darker now, toward late evening. I now stood on the far side of the path looking toward my left, I could see a few of the original path stones, they seemed to glow in the darkness. They were at irregular spacing, I could see quite a few of them, even more than visible in day light. They seemed to stand out in the darkness for quite some distance as though they could light the way in darkness. The peace and serenity of it was beyond understanding, the sense of Holiness was drawing. I just stood there pondering what I have found.

Wake up time. Wow, this is interesting. I told Rhonda a little about it. I said that I’d pray for understanding. This is what I received so far. The path was torn up by men who wanted people to use another path. They broke up the path stones so that others could not use the path. The straight and narrow path had valleys filled in and mountains torn down to make it level. The path stones were not man made, they glowed, and were meant to guide people in darkness, lighting their path. The path was elevated so if anyone took their eyes off the path and turned they could fall. The path was not used very much, while I was there I saw no one, but the lack of trees prove that it was used. The solid, unmoving stones (when stepped on) seemed more solid than the earth around it could provide. The sponginess of the soil was not muddy but would mire one down in trying to walk in it, like a peet moss bog, this had the benifit of letting people know that they had strayed from the center of the path. This spongines could also cause one to stumble and fall from the path all together. The pieces of wood were mans attempt to repair what others had removed and torn up, from old type wooden shingles used to cover houses and roofs to the latest technology. The path was a foot path, not meant for busses, trains or planes, narrow with deliberate steps. The path was hidden completely from view, except those who have crossed it. The attempt by man to repair the path was meager at best, more of a trip hazard than a help, yet supported weight on the path. Those responsible for trying to destroy the path will have to contend with the Creator. It is as though the word, the law, the doctrine of the Father passed on to the apostles and to us by the Holy Spirit of God, lights the path for all on the path, all who find it.

Deuteronomy 19:14 Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Hosea 2:5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. 6Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

Psalm 142:3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Isaiah 30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. 12Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: 13Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

Isaiah 5:15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: 16But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. 17Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat. 18Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: 19That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it! 20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 24Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. 25Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 26And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: 27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: 28Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: 29Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it. 30And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Be of good cheer you who find the path, that is the way. Though it is old and in disrepair because of man, hidden from the wise, hidden from the view of all, it is the only way.

Amen. I can see it as I read.

There is definitely a peace in understanding the path that God has set before His people. However, sadly, it seems that many so called "ministers of God" have actually done more harm to the lives of Christians rather than help.

It was once said by a person who used to serve God that "Nothing's new. They keep saying the same things over and over." Well, although many probably feel that way, how can anyone argue against the words, dreams, visions that God gives by His Spirit.

It is tiring to be continually reminded of how bad those who thought themselves something in God have muddied the waters, tried to destroy the simple path to righteousness, etc. But rest assured that those who are not weary in well-doing will reap if they faint not.

Thanks for sharing this dream. God is with us and if He be for us, there are none that can be against us.

God bless,
Ryan

Amen. I can see the path even as I read the dream. Even under mens attempt God still has made a way, hidden from the wise and crafty, but revealed to him of a humble and contrite spirit. May we have eyes to see and hearts to stay the path and not stumble.
