Jesus Bring the Rain

From Sunday church April 6th, 2008.

On my way late to church last Sunday, a song came on the radio. I've heard it before, but the lyrics stirred me that morning. "Jesus bring the rain".

So I sat down at church and found the perfect peace that comes with being still, wanting nothing, waiting on God. The Holy spirit showed me a vision of a typical soft-rainy day. And God was beckoning us to come out and enjoy it. To recieve it, for there was growth in it.

At this time He reminded me of the Scripture (John 14) when Jesus tells His diciples he will send His helper (The Holy Spirit) and it will lead into all truth.

In the vision I saw a person coming outside, but putting up a bright yellow umbrella. This person wanted the comfort of staying dry. The umbrella is a convient tool for this, and lots of people use them. The understanding was that many people want to come out in faith, but still put up walls (which are easily seen to God hence the bright yellow) and therefore cannot fully enter into His spirit, His rest, His wisdom, His peace, His will..

God says continually (in scripture as well as what the spirit has been saying lately) to put down vain understandings, comforts of the world, and walls of the flesh. We are not of this world.

Then God said:
Recieve Jesus, recieve the helper He sent. Step out.

God sent His helper, the Holy spirit. He's asking us to have the faith to recieve it, to enter in, to come out of the comfort zones of this world and to LIVE by it. He does not hold back and He gives freely. Let him set you free from the bondage of this world. He wont force it upon anyone. He is meek, lowly and ...which is why the vision itself was a soft, warm rainy day.

His spirit will poor out liberally to those who truely want it.

Recive Him-

Carmen

Amen Carmen,
I pray this reaches those who can be drawn, and gives them understandig.

Written instruction are good, but nothing like talking through a problem. Ears to hear to fix the problem are required though.

Amen Carmen.

This is a good understanding. It reminds me of a dream an old friend of mine had. She said she was in the back of a church and a pastor was at the front spraying anyone who wanted to join in with a hose. She sceptically refused, and made a judgment that it was all hype and no spirit. God gave me the understanding that she had made a wrong judgment and that because it seemed unusual and definitely out of her "comfort zone" she snubbed the refreshing water of the Holy Spirit, and in ignorance mocked it.
I told her the understanding and that God gave her the dream to show her that she needed the Holy Spirit to be able to make righteous discernments. She half laughed it off like "stupid me, I was supposed to jump in," but sadly never has. I pray that all who read your vision and are stirred do step into the rain (without an umbrella!) and receive the Holy Ghost.

God bless,
Rachel
