This is not for those who believe. This is for those who do not believe. It is a sign for unbelievers. Believe what you may ask? Truth. Some people get angry when you bring up the Holy Spirit. They don't know it, but they are angry with God. The mere mention of the Holy Spirit brings up thoughts of discomfort because it is an area they know nothing of, but act like they do. Within their spiritual circles they may be giants, repeating every doctrine that they learned, just not according to truth. They have many excuses which equal lies or unbelief, certainly not truth revealed by the Holy Spirit. Of who we are instructed, will lead us into all truth. The disdain for the Holy Spirit borders on blasphemy and in Gods' eye is heresy and rebellion. This is why the foolish virgins suffer the same fate as the fearful and unbelieving. How can this be you ask, I love God? You love God in your own understanding, a different Jesus than truth. You refuse to accept the seal of the Holy Spirit, the proof of sonship.
How can this be a sign to unbelievers? Tongues is a sign to unbelievers (but you refused to believe that). You are correct. The prophecy is contained in the title. The Holy Spirit will not always strive with man. When the sound of the bridegrooms coming is heard it is to late to to acquire oil for your lamp, you are the lamp. You should be the temple of the Holy Spirit, God confirming His word with signs (tongues and others), but He is unwelcomed within you. This is a word for one in particular, it is a prophecy. It may apply to many, but this is for you. Your hardness of heart and unwillingness to believe has come before the Father because He has bestowed much mercy and grace to you, in all long suffering. You were a chosen vessel, blessed above many and you recognised it. God would that you should turn and repent, but He will not call or draw you to truth any longer.
If God needs to build a case, it will be by His word. Your defence will be by words you have spoken, every idle word. Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little is how God instructs, how we learn, why our argument will not stand before truth. God said if any man lack wisdom let Him ask. Either you didn't ask or you didn't believe, let every man be a liar but God is true. The problem is within you, God does not change. You can say I believe Jesus is the Son of God, but your heart, understanding and actions speak to the contrary. You didn't do His will, you didn't believe every word out of His mouth. The Lord said: It will be more tolerable in the day of judgment for Simon the sorcerer in the day of judgment than for you, for he repented of his iniquity, he believed in the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8And there was great joy in that city. 9But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. 18And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. 22Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. 24Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
The following all have meaning, all are inter woven. Line upon line. Here for your edification. You have choice to hear and believe or not.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Mark 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
John 20:29 Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serves not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Romans 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. 17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love castes out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Note:
The days of instruction and correction will shortly end. What you go into tribulation with is all that will sustain you. If you have the Holy Spirit you will be able to receive more. To some, only their their own willingness to die for their faith will allow their eternal life.

These are true words.
While reading this, I have become very saddened because many that have been offered a pure drink of water have denied it and have made it quite obvious that they love the muddy waters more than the pure truth that the Spirit of God speaks to those who will listen.
In obedience to the Lord and out of love, many that we know have walked in wisdom toward them that are without, praying that their eyes would be opened and that they come to love the liberty that God has offered by His Spirit (where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty). Sadly, many have chosen already.
There is a heaviness to these words, and I pray that we all go before God in sincerity and humility that some may heed the call and draw close to His side before this green season comes to an end.
God have mercy,
Ryan
It is truly sad how many even have the Spirit but know not what they have and have not sought to know. Those that would not even humble themselves to recieve Him, are in the same boat. It is terrible to think that, as Ryan said, men have been offered the best and chose something less. Most of them never even giving the time to consider what had been put before them. I pray that any that can recieve this word will, and repent and be changed while they still can.
