Fearful About Being Spiritually Minded? or What is so Bad Living in Truth?

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The truth, is that before we are born again, we were dead to hearing the voice of God, that is unless God knocked you off a horse or an unusual event. The whole point of salvation is restoration to the place that man has fallen from. Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Jesus, the way the truth and the life, our example, was filled with the Holy Spirit, He entered that rest by faith and the power of God. Jesus said that if we did His will, we would be filled with the Holy Spirit as well, entering that same rest. Rest from dead works, receiving the Holy Spirit, receiving the Mind of Christ, by faith. Yet, this is the difficultly of and for this generation. Luke 21:32 This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. That is, until the return of Jesus as King. Luke 18:8 …. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? 9And he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in them selves that they were righteous, and despised others.

The original apostles are gone, not walking in the earth. The only true authority that we all have access to is the Holy Spirit. There are apostles, prophets, teachers and workers of miracles, in the body of Christ, for the edification, building up of the body of Christ. They do exist. But, who are they? They are quietly being the servants of others. Many, who say that they are apostles or prophets are not, and to our shame, give them place.

Man being who and what we are, like the safety of numbers, the flock mentality. Ten million people can’t be wrong (or can they?). For us to doubt and not believe and trust what we hear is normal, especially in our own heart and spirit. As is says; Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? And, James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Additionally we have the evil to contend with; Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD… God, being faithful, knowing we are weak in the flesh has a way; Matthew 7:8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? Hebrews 11:1… faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.1 Corinthians 14:31 For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. We, knowing that mans heart is wicked, and we are able to deceive ourselves, is trumped by John 16:13…when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:… That is if; Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The issue of today is perversion of truth, false prophet/prophecy and our ability and willingness to judge.

Revelation 2: 2I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

Revelation2:19 I know your works, and charity, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works; and the last to be more than the first. 20Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you suffer (allow) that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Most churches strongly teach; Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you be not judged. And a fleshly, carnal person would do well not to judge on outward appearance. Largely, churches do not want to be judged themselves for their inconsistencies with the Bible, the congregation not witnessing what is written therein, the way things should be. But we who are not caught up in the religious vacuum, who have come out to be separate and not partake of the wrath to come, are instructed in: 1 Corinthians 2:15…he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. On the surface the two scriptures seem to be opposing, yet both true. The understanding is summed up in: John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. 18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Thereby, the ability to know truth and to judge is given with the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth being in us, not just with us. Consequently though, with the gift, the knowledge and understanding, comes responsibility: Luke 12:48…..For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:… Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Those to who the Holy Spirit has been given, and do not rise to the Hebrews 5:14 (written above) example are likened to this: Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you has not sown: 25And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth (earthen vessel): lo, there you have that is yours. 26His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful (lazy) servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not sown: 27You ought therefore to have put my money (power, ability) to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury (benefit). 28Take therefore the talent (gift) from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has. 30And cast you, the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

We have a King to be faithful to, our Lord, Jesus. When you ask, He answers by the Holy Spirit. He does the Father’s will. Jesus sent us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit to lead us in everything, at all times, in all truth. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. We can know what is true, spiritually, prophetically if we have died to ourselves, our every desire, our every lust, so that Jesus, the Anointing, the Holy Spirit can live in us, with power. We know truth/reality by faith in God who bears witness of truth, in truth/factually. Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost. It is by faith in God, His Spirit, His ability to communicate with us that we please Him, just as Abraham believed. It is by this faith that if we have no earthly desires of self benefit or glory God faithfully responds to all our inquires. We cannot judge by sight. At times some men appear to be holy and their words may contain truth. That person may be deceived or a deceiver. Both could repent, but the deceived may not have hardened his heart, so we may speak the truth in love, as the Spirit leads. The deceiver most likely knows the error and may be beyond repentance: 1 Timothy 4:2....having their conscience seared with a hot iron. God knows the difference and what to do about it, it is up to us to ask, then, be faithful in what we hear. Sometimes speaking, sometimes withdrawing because; Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be you therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ (the Anointed with the Holy Spirit), hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ (Anointed), he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

The day being evil, the issue at hand, is false apostles, false prophets and false prophecies. 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. 4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

How can we know? John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Matthew 7:16You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Luke 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 1 Corinthians 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

What do we do? 2 John 1:11 For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel?

Some of those who are caught in the Jezebel spirit possibly came from truly seeking, until iniquity, lust, was found in them; James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. God gives them space to repent, but: Matthew 7:21Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. Most of the Jezebel spirit, can and will say Jesus is Lord, which does not mean that He is their Lord or that they are your brother. The allure of power or self exaltation, their own lust, allows them to speak words that seduce Gods servants; To commit fornication or have a spiritual relationship with other spirits that are not from God and truth, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols or things that contain the essence of appeal of the earthly nature, lust, pride, power which are rebellion against God, witchcraft. 2 Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? From whence then has it tares? 28He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up? 29But he said, No; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

It's just about reaping time. Make your calling and election sure, be full of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth.

True words and very timely.

The truth is that the Lord is calling out those who will hear His voice, believe Him and walk according to the leading of His Spirit.

If people truly love God (not just in word, but in deed also), they will obey His voice. There will be no confusion as to what God would have them to do, because God is not the author of confusion. If people believe, He will indeed lead them beside still waters (places of drawing water/receiving by the Spirit), give them rest (the only way to become not weary in well-doing) and feed them (knowing what we have need of before we even ask).

Who will believe God and let it be accounted unto them for righteousness? Who will let all things pass away and all things become new?

Find faith in us, Lord Jesus, I pray.

Love in Him,
Ryan
