People are quick to want to hear what the Spirit is saying yet cannot hear for themselves. People know that we are in “end times” but have not made straight paths for the Lord’s return in their own lives. People chase after the “move of the Spirit” but don’t know how to find Him themselves. People say they love God but ignore His words. People trust men. People follow men. Some people follow signs. Some people get all emotional about God thinking that has value or means something. Some people actually believe that belonging to some organization ensures their salvation. Some people think that lawfulness is godliness. Some people say Jesus is Lord and do their own will. People are funny, God laughs at them.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Deuteronomy 8:5 You shall also consider in your heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.
1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Hebrews 12:5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you art rebuked of him: 6For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
People are funny, how about you? Does what you do make God laugh?
Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25But you have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: 26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes; 27When your fear comes as desolation, and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish comes upon you. 28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: 30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 32For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33But whoso hearkens (hearer and a doer) unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
