Do not be Double Minded

The Lord spoke both of these words to me on Wednesday at church last week.

To them that have an ear to hear, hear and have faith. You wait upon me, do not be weary in your souls. Cast away the cares of this life, for what strength do you have in those things? I am eternal, my words shall never pass away. Set your eyes on that which is above, pure and holy, easily entreated. Who will walk with me? Even as I walked with Adam in the garden? Who will believe that I am he who sustains, that I am he who keeps them. Set your hearts upon me and waver not my people. The trials you endure, the fire indeed is not pleasant, but yet you shall not be burned nor shall their be any residue remaining. As the purest gold purified seven times. Trust in me, I am able to see you through. The thoughts of a mans heart, the consideration of his desires. Judge yourselves that you should not be judged. Stand upon me and endure.

and then the Lord spoke this: In faith I am well pleased but the double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Do you fear me? If I am a God where is my reverence? If I then be your creator where is my honor? I am that I am, no prideful man shall come before me. I see, I know your heart. Judge this day that you be not judged lest my fury come forth and my wrath be upon you. It is not by might, no not by power, yet you still strive with the flesh. Put off the old, put on the new. Walk with me. I am faithful.

1TH 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1TH 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1TH 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1TH 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1TH 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1TH 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1TH 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1TH 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1TH 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1TH 5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
1TH 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1TH 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
1TH 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
1TH 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
1TH 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1TH 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
1TH 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
1TH 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1TH 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
1TH 5:20 Despise not prophesyings.
1TH 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1TH 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1TH 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1TH 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Grace and peace,
Austin

Amen Austin.

Most people just don't get it and won't wait on God to find out. Faith pleases God. Trials are to seperate imperfections from us, so we must trust that God has the control of our lives in these trials and not run from them, but embrace God in them. God's ways are higher than mans ways. We cannot lean to our own understanding in wanting to "feel good". We must look to God for the understanding.

Luke 21:19 In your patience possess you your souls.

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

Ephesians 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,...... even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Times being what they are, don't put off God. You may not get another chance.
