Do NOT give in

The Lord spoke this word to me today while I was at work: Believe my word, stand firm in my promises. The just shall live by faith. Who, without faith, shall please me? Every man has bean given a measure of faith that they might be without excuse. Trust in me my people. The day of my wrath and fury is come and I will surly judge a righteous judgment. Shall you stand? Can you walk in your own righteousness? Do not be deceived, many sleep, many slumber, not knowing that I come and as a thief I shall take all they have. Temperance, meekness, love, patience, kindness, long suffering, forbearance, so is the fruit of my Spirit. Look upon those you see, how many even bear these fruits? Strait is the way, narrow the gate, few are there that find it. I strengthen you. Be built upon me, the author and finisher of all you are. If I have begun my work shall I not also finish it? The promises you bear, where they spoken in vain? Was I unjust to speak them, or a liar? I cannot lie for whatsoever I speak is truth. I am not slack concerning my promises, for they are unto you yes and amen. Endure for shortly you shall reap. For every season there is a time. The time of your rest is at hand, and end to a trial, the beginning of what I have called you to. The world shall have tribulation but you shall have peace. They will have confusion yet you shall be without fear. I am love, and if my love does not dwell in you you are not mine. For mine love me more than this life. Shall by your strength will you prevail? The flesh profits nothing, yet the words that I speak they are life and peace. Set you eyes upon me my chosen. I lift you up and I make the difference known.

Ecclesiastes 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

10I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

13And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

18I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

22Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Though the trials we face seem at times almost too much to bear we must never let go of what the Lord has promised us. Let us not be weary in our well doing, constantly lifting up our voice in praise, thanking the Lord for all he has done. Lord may we be strengthened through the fire, that when we come forth we'd be as the purist gold, purifies seven times.

Love, peace, and grace,
Austin

Elm Street Chapel - Dave said...

True word Austin, Amen.

The Spirit said: "Temperance, meekness, love, patience, kindness, long suffering, forbearance, so is the fruit of my Spirit. Look upon those you see, how many even bear these fruits?"

So many who slumber think that their "good behavior" is a sign of the fruit of the Spirit. If that’s true a Buddhist monk has tons of fruit. They mistakenly think self control is evidence of true Godliness.

How many bear these fruits "indeed"! In seeking the "Kingdom of God" if people miss or bypass the Holy Spirit how can they bear fruit of the Spirit? They have departed from "the Way", whether they believe it or not. How can they receive "Gifts of the Spirit"? How can they have "ears to hear" what the Spirit is saying? How can the Holy Spirit lead them into all truth and show them things to come if they reject the "Good Gift". If people reject, modify or limit the Holy Spirit they are rejecting Jesus because they reject or do not believe His words.

Speaking in tongues is no guarantee of deliverance from the wrath to come. On the other hand, rejecting the "Truth" is a sure way to find yourself with the foolish virgins of Matthew 25, locked out of the safety of the Lords protection.

This word, like every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, has milk and meat. The babes like the warm fuzzy feeling of God's protection and automatically include themselves in every blessing regardless of the truth of their life. Those who can eat strong meat, eat this word and judge themselves first by God's standards, TRUTH!

"Shall by your strength will you prevail? The flesh profits nothing, yet the words that I speak they are life and peace".

AMEN, come quickly Lord Jesus.
